The Kingdom Holding Co., the investment firm in Saudi Arabia, reported that it and its chairman, billionaire Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, invested $ 500 million in the recent offering of shares of General Motors Co.

In this economy, it is hard for some people to decide where to spend their money when they are looking to have a good meal. I am a long time customer of Subway, they have some of the best sandwiches around at extremely reasonable prices. I personally enjoy a foot long veggie with extra pickles and no mayo, but that is just me. I found out recently found that I could purchase some of their delicious sandwiches with Subway coupons that lowers their already very reasonable prices.

I found that the more I shopped, the more Subway coupons I could acquire, so I found myself frequenting Subway several times a week, usually on my lunch break at work. Since 2002, Stan ONeal has been the Chief Executive Officer of Merrill Lynch. Recently, the organization reported that they lost billions of dollars in the last quarter, and since this announcement, Stan has had pressure piled on him to quit as some feel that he is the cause of the loss due to best credit cards made.

Stan ONeal made investments in securities backed by mortgages that have been almost destroyed by the credit crisis the nation is currently experiencing.

The Merrill Lynch CEO has proved to be extremely unpopular with the general public and this was proved by the stock jump the company received recently when it was rumoured that the board of directors were discussing the best option for dealing with Stan ONeal. This was the highest stock jump that the company has received in several years, which underlines how much the public disapproved of his decisions as CEO.

Members of the Board Of Directors have admitted that keeping Stan ONeal as CEO is the least likely thing to happen and that it is more likely hell be fired or that he will quit, so Stan is facing immense pressure.

Stan ONeal took over at Merrill Lynch when the previous CEO came under fire during very similar circumstances. The CEO before ONeal took over, was considered responsible for the largest losses the company had ever experienced, at that time. However, Stan ONeal has now spectacularly overtaken the previous CEO with a colossal amount of losses, and neither the board of directors or the general public are happy about it.

During the last few years, Merrill Lynch hasn’t been having much luck during the credit crisis, and both of the most recent Chief Executive Officers have been held responsible for large losses. This puts Merrill Lynch in a vulnerable position as the uncertainty the company is facing, and their low stock prices make them a prime target for competitors to seek to take over. The pressure isn’t just on Stan ONeal, but for the whole company to act wisely during this time so that nothing happens which they will regret.
